Application Procedures for the Japanese Society for Neurochemistry (JSN)

1. JSN Membership
JSN is open to individual scientists who have a significant interest in neurochemistry or other neuroscience disciplines all over the world. Therefore, membership is not restricted to Japan. All fellow neurochemists/neuroscientists working in other geographical regions are welcome.

Type of Membership:
(1) Regular Members: Regular members are those who have the right to vote and hold office in the society.
(2) Student Members: Registered students of recognized universities can join the JSN as student members at a reduced rate. Student members do not have the right to vote or hold office in the society.

2. Application form
If you wish to apply for membership of this society, please click on the application form link, download the form and fill out all necessary items, and then sign the form. Membership to this society requires a recommendation from one JSN member (regular or emeritus). Please obtain the signature of this person in the specified column on the application form. If you cannot obtain a recommendation, please contact the JSN office.
Further, when you send the application form to our office, please enclose a short curriculum vitae (C.V. ) with a list of recent publications (previous 5 years).
If you wish to apply as a Student Member (undergraduate or graduate student), please state so in the specified column on the application form and attach a short C.V. and a copy of your current student registration certificate or student identification card.

3. Membership fees
Membership fees are charged to each individual member annually from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. The following admission and annual membership fees must be paid when joining this society:
Regular member • • • ¥10,000
Student member • • • ¥3,000

Bank transfer
Bank transfers are limited to deductions in Japanese yen from a bank account below. Bank transfer fee is
paid by the member.
