【NEURO2026 第4日目】

本日は、前年度優秀賞受賞者企画のシンポジウムが開催され、最先端の成果をめぐる
活発な議論が交わされました。

最終日を迎え、第49回日本神経科学大会、第69回日本神経化学会大会、第36回日本神経回路学会大会からなる合同大会「NEURO2026」は、本日、大盛況のうちに閉幕しました。4日間にわたり、幅広い研究領域の発表や意見交換が行われ、分野を越えた多くの交流と新たなつながりが生まれました。

大会2日目夜の懇親会も、こうした交流を象徴するものでした。各学会大会長のご挨拶に続き、食事や飲み物を囲みながら分野を越えた会話がにぎやかに広がり、今後の神経研究の発展につながる、合同大会ならではのひとときとなりました。

【NEURO2026 Day 4】

Today, a symposium organized by the recipients of last year’s JSN Distinguished Investigator Award was held, featuring lively discussions on cutting-edge research findings.

On this final day, NEURO2026—the joint meeting of the 49th Annual Meeting of the Japan Neuroscience Society, the 69th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Neurochemistry, and the 36th Annual Conference of the Japanese Neural Network Society—came to a successful close. Over the four-day meeting, researchers presented and exchanged ideas across a broad range of fields, fostering numerous interdisciplinary interactions and new connections.

The banquet held on the evening of the second day truly embodied this spirit of exchange. Following remarks from the presidents of the three participating societies, lively conversations unfolded over food and drinks, transcending disciplinary boundaries. It was a memorable occasion unique to this joint meeting and one that we hope will contribute to the future advancement of neuroscience research.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who supported the meeting and to all those who participated!

【NEURO2026 第3日目】
本日は、長年にわたり日本神経化学会の発展に貢献された先生方の名誉会員推戴式が行われました。先生方の長年のご尽力と多大なご功績に、深く敬意を表します。

2026年日本神経化学会優秀賞・奨励賞の表彰式では、小泉修一理事長より受賞者に賞状と記念メダルが授与され、表彰式に続いて優秀賞受賞者講演が行われました。
第3回目となるフォトコンテストの表彰式では、受賞者に受賞作品をデザインした記念マグカップが贈られました。受賞作品は、大会会場の幕間スライドでもご紹介しております。加えて、会場にパネル展示もしてありますので、ぜひご覧下さい。

Today, a ceremony was held to confer honorary membership on distinguished researchers who have made longstanding contributions to the development of the Japanese Society for Neurochemistry. We would like to express our deepest respect and gratitude for their many years of dedication and outstanding achievements.
At the 2026 JSN Distinguished Investigator Award and Young Investigator Award Ceremony, JSN President Prof. Shuichi Koizumi presented the recipients with certificates and commemorative medals. The ceremony was followed by a lecture from the recipient of the Distinguished Investigator Award.
The award ceremony for the third JSN Photo Contest was also held today. Each winner received a commemorative mug featuring their award-winning image. The winning works are being shown on slides between sessions and are also displayed as panels at the congress venue. Please be sure to take a look!

Today featured a joint symposium with the International Society for Neurochemistry (ISN) and the Asian Pacific Society for Neurochemistry (APSN), sister societies of the Japanese Society for Neurochemistry. The symposium showcased cutting-edge advances in neurochemistry research.

In the plenary lecture, Dr. Pieter Roelfsema, a leading researcher in visual neuroscience, presented his latest findings on the mechanisms of visual cognition and efforts to restore visual function.

The Young Investigator Training Session, featuring 15-minute presentations followed by 15 minutes of discussion, provided an opportunity for in-depth scientific exchange. Young researchers delivered creative and enthusiastic presentations, stimulating lively discussion. Interdisciplinary interactions also flourished in the poster hall, exhibition area, and休憩spaces.

Last night, the Japanese Society for Neurochemistry also held its annual Young Investigator Training Seminar. A total of 50 early-career researchers participated. During small-group sessions, participants gathered around the instructors to discuss cutting-edge research and career development. Exchanges among participants and across generations continued well into the evening, creating an inspiring and energetic atmosphere.

NEURO2026, a joint meeting on neurochemistry, neuroscience, and neural circuits, officially opened today in Kobe!

The plenary lecture on the first day was delivered by Dr. Li Gan, a leading researcher in the field of neurodegeneration. In her lecture, entitled “Dissecting Neuroimmune Crosstalk in Neurodegeneration,” she presented cutting-edge findings on interactions between the nervous and immune systems in neurodegenerative diseases. NPO法人イノベーション創薬研究所（IDDI）では、「IDDI Outstanding Basic and Applied Neuroscience Talent Award（IDDI小幡賞）」の応募を受け付けています。

本賞は、GABA研究をはじめ神経科学の発展に多大な貢献をされた小幡邦彦先生の志を受け継ぎ、ニューロサイエンス分野で独創的な挑戦に取り組む若手研究者を応援することを目的としています。
